Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buck Bill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bill sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rodrigues is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Rodrigues is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bill asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Rodrigues bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Rodrigues swats away the attempt to clinch by Bill.

It looks like Bill might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Rodrigues might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Buck Bill hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bill looks to land a left hand but Rodrigues moved out of range nicely.
Bill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rodrigues is fending him off so far but Bill persists. Nope, Rodrigues circles away and we're back to standing.

Rodrigues throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bill.

Rodrigues throws a nice looking combination but Bill bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bill shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rodrigues pinned against the cage. Rodrigues gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Buck Bill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rodrigues displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bill.
Rodrigues takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Bill dives in and scores a takedown into Rodrigues's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bill seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Rodrigues wants to clinch up but Bill keeps it at a distance.

Bill is looking to advance position but Rodrigues won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bill frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rodrigues looks a forlorn figure.
