Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hatsu Hioki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hioki comes to the cage accompanied by Heart of Asia. Machida comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Calm Like a Bomb kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida misses with an uppercut.
Machida throws a one two combo.

It looks like Hatsu Hioki has been cut.
Hioki misses with the combination.
Machida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hioki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jab by Machida.
Hioki gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Machida gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Hioki is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Machida!
A relieved looking Mark Machida thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
