Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joao Luis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winke Tygesen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joao Luis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Winke Tygesen!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tygesen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tygesen tries to clinch but Luis moves out of range.
Tygesen moves in looking to clinch but Luis pushes him off.

Tygesen scores with a takedown into Luis's guard.
Tygesen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Luis's guard.
Tygesen won't allow Luis to sweep him here.
Tygesen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Luis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tygesen manages to get himself to full guard.

Luis looking to sit in guard and control but Tygesen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tygesen postures up.
Tygesen is looking to stand up but Luis won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tygesen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Tygesen trying to control from Luis's half guard. Luis has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Luis wants to sweep here but Tygesen controlling him for the moment.

Winke Tygesen has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Luis circles away from the clinch attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tygesen.

Tygesen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Luis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Luis is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tygesen is defending well.

Luis is trying to control Tygesen's posture but Tygesen avoids it.
Luis is looking to reverse the position.
Luis regains half guard.

Tygesen decides to return to a standing position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Luis keeps the fight on the outside.
Tygesen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Tygesen clinches up with Luis and pushes him back against the cage.
Tygesen lands a nice elbow.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Winke Tygesen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Tygesen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tygesen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Luis's defenses.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Tygesen obliges.
Tygesen lands a left hand that snaps the head of Luis backwards.

Tygesen is pushing Luis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Joao Luis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Winke Tygesen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tygesen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
