Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelo Bowser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Love Bug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bug has managed to clinch.

Bug pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bowser walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Bug moves into the clinch successfully.
Bowser tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bowser jumps guard and drags Bug to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bug is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bug must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bug postures up in Bowser's guard and throws a big left but Bowser blocks it.
Bug really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bug working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bowser is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Bug rolls with it to try and escape but Bowser cranks on the arm and Bug is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kelo Bowser!
After the fight, Kelo Bowser was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
