Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Katkeroinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katkeroinen tries to clinch there but Griffin circles away.
Jorma Katkeroinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Katkeroinen rushes Griffin and presses him up against the cage.

Griffin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Katkeroinen has him pressed against the cage.

Griffin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Griffin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Katkeroinen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Griffin has his foot on Katkeroinen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Katkeroinen works his way back into a safe position though.

Griffin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Katkeroinen walks away with a smile on his face. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Katkeroinen jerks Griffin's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Griffin drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Katkeroinen goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Katkeroinen because Griffin was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
