Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Miletich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Simms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miletich's entrance music is Canibus- 2nd Round Knockout. A fine choice. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pat Miletich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Simms!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Miletich enables Simms to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Miletich manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Miletich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Simms.
Miletich is pulling down on Simms's head. It's preventing any offense from Simms, at least for the moment.
Simms working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Miletich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miletich tries to get out of the position.

Simms stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miletich swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Simms with a flurry of punches that miss.
Miletich is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Miletich looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Simms with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Miletich lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Simms!
Miletich throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Simms because Miletich loaded up on that one.

Miletich has hold of Simms's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simms manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Simms is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Miletich unloads with some shots from mount but Simms bucks and avoids them well.
Simms holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Miletich tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Miletich sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Simms manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.

Simms tries to kick Miletich off but Miletich keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Miletich seems to be working for a kimura but Simms defends the submission attempt.
Miletich not landing any meaningful shots this time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Miletich looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Miletich is looking for a kimura but Simms is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miletich to get the leverage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miletich wants to take a breather but Simms is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pat Miletich dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Miletich will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Simms shoots for a double leg takedown but Miletich sprawls well. He's pushed Simms's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Simms fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Simms drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Miletich wants to sweep but no luck.
Miletich lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Simms!
Miletich misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Miletich has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Simms's face.
Miletich throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

It looks like Roger Simms has been cut.
Simms holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Miletich tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Miletich is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Simms can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Simms is rocked!
Miletich loads up with a big shot that hurts Simms! He's pulled Miletich in close but Miletich has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Simms survive? More strikes from Miletich and Simms is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Pat Miletich!
