Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rafael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Ammo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Rafael!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kirk Ammo!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rafael drives through with a takedown into Ammo's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Ammo keeping moving, preventing Rafael from controlling successfully.
Rafael is looking to work some ground and pound but Ammo has wrist control.
Rafael postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rafael has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ammo has control of Rafael's left arm, preventing Rafael from doing any damage.

Kirk Ammo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rafael tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rafael tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rafael tries to move into range but Ammo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ammo misses with a low kick.
Rafael misses with a head kick.
Rafael swings for the body but Ammo moves out of range.
Rafael works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Rafael shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ammo is trying to defend but Rafael finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rafael wants to control but Ammo is keeping him busy.

Rafael seems to be looking for submissions.
Ammo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rafael. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rafael is looking to pass Ammo's guard but actually Ammo recovers to full guard.
Rafael stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ammo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rafael drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ammo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ammo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ammo!

Rafael tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ammo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Rafael wants to control but Ammo is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Rafael dominated that round.
That's time! Rafael's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ammo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rafael is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ammo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rafael.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rafael, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
