Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Cairo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enos Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Cairo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enos Erikson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson fails with the takedown

and Cairo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Erikson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cairo is working away from the top position though.
Cairo wants to free his trapped foot but Erikson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Erikson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Erikson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Erikson connects with a nice short shot to Cairo's temple.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Erikson slips a nice elbow through Cairo's hands, connecting with Cairo's forehead.

I would just about give that final round to Enos Erikson.
Well Erikson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
