The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Phillips looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Green!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Phillips looks up at the clock and then as Green takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Phillips smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Phillips looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Green is avoiding damage well.

Phillips works to advance to full mount. Green defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Phillips throws some wild stikes that Green manages to avoid easily.
Green tries to lock up and control but Phillips gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Green takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Green knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phillips on the ground.

Green tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Phillips is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Green can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Green manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Green, under a barage of strikes from Phillips.
