PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bulk Bogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Lehnsherr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lehnsherr's choice of entrance music: PURE EVIL!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lehnsherr swats away the attempt to clinch by Bogan.
Bogan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bogan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lehnsherr throws a shot from downtown. Bogan moves away and avoids it.
Bogan looks to land a right hand but Lehnsherr moved out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lehnsherr throws a shot to the body.
Lehnsherr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bogan.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round but I would say that Bulk Bogan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bogan shoots in looking for a takedown. Lehnsherr tries to sprawl out of it but Bogan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lehnsherr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bogan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bogan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lehnsherr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bogan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lehnsherr decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bogan to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bogan is trying to control. Lehnsherr wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lehnsherr tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bogan has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Bogan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lehnsherr tries to lock up and control but Bogan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lehnsherr is bucking up trying to escape but Bogan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lehnsherr sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bogan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lehnsherr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bogan working the ground and pound but Lehnsherr is defending the strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lehnsherr is not content to let Bogan control the position.
Lehnsherr seems a little lost for a moment, as Bogan dominates the positioning.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Lehnsherr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Lehnsherr moves into range and clinches up with Bogan.
Lehnsherr wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bogan has him pressed against the cage.

Bogan is trying to break the clinch but Lehnsherr has him pressed against the cage.

Lehnsherr throws a nice looking combination but Bogan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bogan forces Lehnsherr back against the cage and clinches.
Lehnsherr keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bogan's efforts to push away.
Lehnsherr tries to work over Bogan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bogan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lehnsherr is trying to keep an underhook but Bogan manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Bogan wants to stand up but Lehnsherr has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Bogan is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Lehnsherr to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lehnsherr is on top in guard.
