so Rogers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Rogers is looking to work some ground and pound but Shephard has wrist control.
Shephard is looking to stand up but Rogers isn't so interested in that idea.
Shephard can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rogers controls the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shephard sends Rogers crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shephard is motioning to the referee to let Rogers up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Shephard throws a hook but Rogers avoids it easily.
Oh Rogers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rogers avoids the body shot from Shephard.
Rogers seems to have got his legs back now.

Shephard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rogers manages to avoid it.
Shephard jabs at Rogers's body.
Shephard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shephard. Rogers does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shephard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rogers. Rogers circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Rogers counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shephard is not content to let Rogers control the position.
Shephard manages to get back to half guard.

Rogers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rogers tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shephard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Rogers is looking to take a break and control but Shephard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rogers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rogers is looking to advance position but Shephard won't allow it.

Anthony Rogers has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Shephard clobbers Rogers with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Shephard jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Shephard drops Rogers with a beautiful combination! Rogers stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shephard is looking for the KO!

Anthony Rogers's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rogers is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut.
Rogers takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rogers takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shephard misses with a straight right.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rogers takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Shephard drops Rogers with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Rogers! Shephard dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
