The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brickley moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Boris Sokolov has been cut.

Sokolov walks into a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brickley connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bill Brickley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sokolov ducks under a wild hook from Brickley.
Brickley throws a nice looking combination but Sokolov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brickley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brickley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sokolov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brickley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sokolov somewhat.
Brickley connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Boris Sokolov's cut is getting worse.
Brickley cracks Sokolov with an open hand slap.
Sokolov staying out of range there.
Brickley scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sokolov in his tracks.
Brickley cracks Sokolov with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sokolov tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Brickley pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sokolov is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

After winning the bout, Bill Brickley thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
