Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase DeLong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase DeLong acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chase DeLong!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeLong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Diaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. DeLong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Donk. Diaz catches DeLong right on the button with a cross.


It looks like Chase DeLong has been cut.
Diaz misses with a kick to the body.
DeLong tries to clinch there but Diaz circles away.
Diaz cracks DeLong with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Diaz clinches with his opponent.
Diaz lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Diaz manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
DeLong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Diaz is pressed up against the cage. DeLong has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Diaz down to the mat. Diaz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Diaz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
DeLong is trying to get back to full guard.

Diaz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and DeLong defends it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DeLong wants to get back to full guard.
Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks DeLong with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Diaz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so DeLong is just riding it out for now. Diaz eventually gives up the hold.

DeLong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
DeLong is looking to improve his position.
Diaz throwing shots but DeLong is blocking nicely.
Diaz stalling away here and it's allowed DeLong to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Diaz won't allow DeLong to sweep him here.
Diaz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
DeLong tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on DeLong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
DeLong takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Diaz is trying to get an arm triangle but DeLong is defending well.

Diaz wants to control but DeLong is keeping him busy.

Diaz is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, DeLong has escaped the position, nice work there.

DeLong is looking to regain half guard here but Diaz keeps moving and retains side control.
Diaz wants to take a breather but DeLong manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Diaz.
Diaz connects with a couple of short punches.
Diaz postures up in DeLong's guard and throws a big left but DeLong blocks it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diaz won't allow DeLong to sweep him here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
DeLong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Diaz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Norman Diaz dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chase DeLong's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Diaz listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
DeLong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Diaz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
No luck for Diaz with that takedown attempt.
Diaz avoids the head kick by DeLong.
The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Diaz, as that shot connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oooooh!!! Diaz has knocked DeLong down with a huge combo! Diaz steps away and waves a wobbly DeLong back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


DeLong is rocked!
A combination from DeLong does no damage.
DeLong is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him?

Diaz has closed the distance and engaged DeLong in a clinch.
Diaz is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
DeLong throws an elbow that misses.
DeLong seems to have recovered his senses.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
DeLong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Diaz sends DeLong crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Diaz is motioning to the referee to let DeLong up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz falls off balance throwing a combination
and DeLong counters with a three punch combo that has Diaz backing up. Diaz nods at DeLong to acknowledge the strikes.
DeLong gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
DeLong switches off momentarily and Diaz cracks him with a monster right hand! DeLong topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Diaz dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Diaz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Norman Diaz!
A relieved looking Norman Diaz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
