And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Raphson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are getting on Raphson's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Raphson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Van Hooven with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Raphson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Hooven keeps working.

Raphson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Van Hooven eats them both and turns towards Raphson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Van Hooven jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Raphson walks away with a smile on his face. Van Hooven gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Raphson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
