The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Machida. Machida gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones Jr fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Machida on the side of the head.
A punch lands to the side of Machida 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jones Jr lands a big uppercut and Machida crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Machida looks OK.

Machida had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jones Jr is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Machida Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones Jr's back instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Machida looking to break Jones Jr's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Jones Jr remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Machida will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Machida tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones Jr swivels and escapes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machida on the ground.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones Jr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jones Jr throws a series of strikes that have Machida backpedaling.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Jones Jr knocks Machida out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
