Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rosco Mankins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rosco Mankins!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mankins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Snow moves away.
Snow uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mankins.
Snow lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Snow slips a jab from Mankins.
Mankins throws the kick towards the body but Snow avoids it.
Mankins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice takedown defense from Mankins. No joy for Snow on that attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Snow, right into the meat.
Mankins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A clash of legs there as Mankins blocks the low kick.
Mankins misses with a leg kick
and Snow counters with a good low kick that Mankins was not able to check.
Mankins throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mankins misses with a head kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Snow.
Mankins misses with a hook
and Snow counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Mankins looks winded!

Mankins moves out of range of the leg kick from Snow.
Mankins lands with a shot to the body.
Jon Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mankins.
Snow feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mankins's calf.
Snow shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Snow blocks a head kick by Mankins.
Snow pushes Mankins away with a front kick.

Snow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Snow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Snow tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Snow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mankins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Snow lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mankins down.

Snow wants to control but Mankins is keeping him busy.

Snow goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mankins rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Snow's guard! Nice work there by Mankins!

Snow has an active guard here but Mankins has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mankins is keen to just control but Snow is a slippery customer.
Snow trying to hold on to Mankins's head to control him but Mankins postures up.

Snow is looking to get back to full guard here but Mankins has managed to pass to side control instead.
Snow manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Well, if Snow is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mankins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Snow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

A nice leg kick lands there from Snow.
Mankins takes a kick to the side of the head.
Snow scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Snow takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mankins blocks a leg kick.
Snow misses with a body kick.
Mankins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mankins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Snow here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Snow moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mankins misses with a low kick.
Nice defenses there by Snow.
Snow scores with a kick to the body.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mankins, as that shot connected.
Mankins's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Mankins is breathing heavily.
Snow moves away from the strike by Mankins.
That kick from Snow tenderised Mankins's leg. Mankins is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mankins throws a nice head kick!
Rosco Mankins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Snow lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Snow fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Snow fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mankins.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Snow looking to score a takedown here. Mankins is defending well but Snow drives through and ends up in Mankins's guard.
Snow pushes down on Mankins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Snow perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Snow trying to control the action but Mankins is working from the bottom.

Snow is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Snow is controlling the pace.
Snow wants to pass the guard but Mankins is defending well.

Snow is working for a kimura but Mankins is defending it quite comfortably.

Snow is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Snow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mankins can do to turn this around?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mankins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mankins takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mankins is not content to let Snow control the position.

Snow is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mankins has escaped the position, nice work there.

Snow looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mankins is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Mankins is letting Snow control him for a moment.
Mankins regains half guard.

Snow is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mankins sees it coming and defends easily.
Snow trying to control from half guard but Mankins is working away.
Mankins trying to control but Snow postures up.

Snow wants to free his trapped foot but Mankins is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Snow not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mankins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Snow is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mankins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Snow.
Rosco Mankins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Snow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mankins keeps working.

Jon Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Snow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
