The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Street throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Street moves out of range of the strikes.
Street chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silva can pounce on him.
Street shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Street missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Street.
Street throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Street avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Street throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Street throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Street throws a chopping leg kick but Silva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Michael Street seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva throws a series of punches but Street moves out of range.
Silva takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.

Street is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Silva has Street pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Street is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Silva - that's hurt Street badly! Oh, another knee lands and Street is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Street doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Glaube Silva!
A relieved looking Glaube Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
