PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bors Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven NZonzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes to the cage accompanied by Ellie Goulding - Explosions . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bors Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven NZonzi!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NZonzi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hill.
Hill ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
NZonzi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from NZonzi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hill connects with a solid leg kick.
NZonzi walks into a stiff left hand from Hill.
Hill ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! NZonzi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hill - the referee stops the clock and NZonzi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hill. NZonzi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
NZonzi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
NZonzi is looking to score with low kicks.
Hill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by NZonzi.
No luck with that takedown attempt from NZonzi.
NZonzi looks winded!
Hill cracks NZonzi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
NZonzi misses with a leg kick
and Hill counters with a thumping low kick.
Hill scores with a spinning back kick!
Hill scores with a nice strike.
Hill scores with a nice head shot.
NZonzi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hill connects with a high kick.

Hill drops NZonzi with a left right combo! Hill follows him down to the ground into side control.

NZonzi is rocked!
Hill in side control, just content to control the action for now.
NZonzi is still in real trouble! Can Hill finish him?

Hill working the ground and pound but NZonzi is defending the strikes.
NZonzi is trying to buck Hill off.
NZonzi seems to have recovered his senses.
Hill throws an elbow but NZonzi slips to the side and avoids it well.
Hill misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hill wants to control but NZonzi is keeping him busy.
Hill working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hill misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
NZonzi is looking to get back to his feet here but Hill is keeping cool and he's managed to take NZonzi's back.

Hill thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Even with his hooks in, Hill manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Hill punches the canvas rather than the man.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hill missing with strikes.
Hill tries to get the hooks in deep but NZonzi pushed the leg off.
NZonzi trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
NZonzi holding both Hill 's hands and preventing any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hill throwing sloppy strikes.
Hill throwing wild punches that miss their target.
NZonzi staying busy and making it hard for Hill to control.

Hill slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Even with his hooks in, Hill manages to miss with strikes from the back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Hill is striking well from the back but NZonzi escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hill thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Hill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

NZonzi missing with a left hand there. Hill was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Hill counters with a stiff right hand.
NZonzi misses with an uppercut.
Hill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but NZonzi circles away quickly and effectively.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hill - that will leave a mark!
Hill misses with a wild combination.
NZonzi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hill manages to avoid it.
NZonzi throws a shot to the body.
NZonzi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hill. Hill obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A left and a right from Hill both land. Nice combination.
NZonzi just misses with a punch to the body.
NZonzi tries to clinch but Hill is having none of it.

Steven NZonzi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hill misses with a double jab.
Hill checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
NZonzi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bors Hill is winning the standup battle so far.
Hill lands a front kick.
Hill connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Hill lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
NZonzi is breathing heavily.
Hill fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hill throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hill scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hill lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hill scores with a hook to the body. NZonzi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hill lands with a nice body kick.
Hill wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hill scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hill lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hill cracks NZonzi on the jaw with a powerful right hand and NZonzi falls backwards against the cage. Hill follows up with more strikes that drop NZonzi to his knees. Hill keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save NZonzi! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bors Hill!
A relieved looking Bors Hill thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
