Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Craig Clifton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Clifton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ray Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clifton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Clifton trying to control but Tyson is working from the bottom.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet but Clifton is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Clifton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tyson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Clifton distracts Tyson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Clifton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Clifton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Clifton wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.
Clifton is really struggling to control Tyson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Tyson wants to stand up but Clifton is controlling him.
Tyson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clifton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Clifton drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick Clifton off! Clifton jumps back into Tyson's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyson can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Clifton wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.
Tyson is looking to stand up but Clifton isn't so interested in that idea.
Clifton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Clifton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Clifton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Clifton won't allow Tyson to get back to his feet.

Clifton pushes down on Tyson's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Clifton is looking for a kimura here.
Still in half guard, Clifton seems content to control.
Tyson tries to kick Clifton off but Clifton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tyson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Clifton is trying to control. Tyson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Clifton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tyson is looking to escape.

Clifton maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Tyson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Clifton has cracked it and Tyson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Clifton!
