And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Kisiel!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kisiel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kisiel scores with a hook.
Sonnen with a poor takedown
and Kisiel counters with a straight right hand.

Sonnen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kisiel's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sonnen won't allow Kisiel to get back to his feet.
Sonnen really is a fat lump.
Kisiel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sonnen.
Kisiel wants to stand and escape but Sonnen is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kisiel keeping moving, preventing Sonnen from controlling successfully.
Sonnen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kisiel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sonnen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kisiel wants to stand up but Sonnen is controlling him.
Kisiel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sonnen.
Kisiel keeping moving, preventing Sonnen from controlling successfully.
Sonnen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kisiel is keeping the position for now.
Sonnen is looking to advance position but Kisiel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Sonnen is looking to get to half guard.

Kisiel avoids the attempt from Sonnen to control.
Sonnen working to try and regain half guard.
Sonnen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kisiel seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Sonnen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
