The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover throws a right hand that Davis ducks under and follows up with a left that Davis also avoids with ease.
Hoover throws a head kick that misses.
Hoover pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hoover misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hoover buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A choreographed right hand from Hoover misses the target.
Hoover misses with a series of wild punches.
Hoover throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily.
Hoover throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hoover misses with a leg kick.
Davis blocks a head kick by Hoover.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoover misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hoover tries to bum rush Davis with a series of wild strikes but Davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Davis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Davis has hold of Hoover's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hoover seems comfortable defending it but Davis has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hoover is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hoover is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Davis couldn't care less - he's delighted!
