The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lineker scoring well with a low kick there.
Lineker lands with a slapping head kick.
Carvalho tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Carvalho swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Carvalho clinches up against the cage.
Carvalho is trying to pull guard but Lineker turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Carvalho as Lineker tries to tie him up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lineker misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carvalho.
Lineker struggles to land a body shot inside as Carvalho controls his hands.

Carvalho fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaime Carvalho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lineker breaks the clinch.
Lineker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Carvalho has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lineker.
John Lineker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lineker lands a big head kick that sends Carvalho tumbling to the mat! Lineker takes a step backwards and waves Carvalho back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Carvalho is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carvalho drops his hands momentarily and Lineker needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Carvalho just on the top of the head. Carvalho drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Carvalho - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Lineker!
