Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jabari Jelani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jabari Jelani was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jelani throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Howard throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Howard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jelani throws the kick towards the body but Howard avoids it.
Howard misses with a hook. Jelani ducked under it nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Howard lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Howard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Howard smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Howard throws a body punch but Jelani moves out of range.

Jelani shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jelani showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Howard's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Howard tries to buck Jelani off but he can't manage it.

Jelani cracks Howard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jelani fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Howard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Howard is rocked!
