Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Hamms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Ciechu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamms wants to clinch.
Ciechu throws a body punch but Hamms moves out of range.
Hamms throws a hook but Ciechu blocks it.
Hamms shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ciechu pinned against the cage. Ciechu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ciechu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hamms manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ciechu trying to control the position from guard on top but Hamms is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hamms looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hamms stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ciechu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ciechu has momentary wrist control but Hamms slips an elbow through the middle.

Hamms wants to control from the top but Ciechu keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Nick Hamms wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Ciechu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hamms swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Matti Ciechu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hamms tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ciechu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hamms to the ground. Ciechu is now in Hamms's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ciechu shoots in for a double leg but Hamms sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ciechu wants to finish this one by submission but Hamms is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ciechu.
Ciechu sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Hamms is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Ciechu has taken his back.
Ciechu is looking to control Hamms but Hamms is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Ciechu is hanging on to Hamms's back as he tries to escape.
Ciechu has his arm under Hamms's chin here. Game over son! Ciechu squeezes tightly and Hamms is forced to tap out!
