Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Murilo Bustamante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yngwie Wynsten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wynsten has chosen Over The Rainbow as his entrance music. Yngwie Wynsten will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Murilo Bustamante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yngwie Wynsten!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bustamante misses with a takedown attempt
and Wynsten counters with a nice body shot.

Wynsten clinches.

Wynsten has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bustamante uses from the top position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wynsten is trying to control the position but Bustamante postures up.

Bustamante drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wynsten dives on top into guard.

Bustamante has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wynsten can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wynsten postures up in Bustamante's guard and throws a big left but Bustamante blocks it.
Wynsten loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bustamante is on top in guard.

Bustamante drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wynsten looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wynsten looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wynsten!
Bustamante is looking for a sweep.

Bustamante manages to get back to half guard.

Bustamante actively working from the bottom here.

Wynsten is working for a kimura but Bustamante is defending it quite comfortably.
Bustamante is looking for a sweep. Wynsten is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wynsten is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bustamante has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wynsten is looking to take a break and control but Bustamante is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bustamante looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wynsten content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Wynsten is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bustamante!
Bustamante is desperately trying to improve his position but Wynsten has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wynsten working for a submission but Bustamante is keeping him at bay.
Bustamante is desperately trying to improve his position but Wynsten has a good base and remains in mount.

Bustamante is working to get back to half guard.
Bustamante bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Bustamante trying to move into half guard but instead Wynsten has managed to sweep!

Wynsten is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Wynsten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bustamante has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wynsten has managed to get both his arms back between Bustamante's legs - danger averted.

Bustamante is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wynsten is aware though and is defending well.

Bustamante escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wynsten gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bustamante isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wynsten stacks Bustamante on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wynsten!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bustamante sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Murilo Bustamante will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Wynsten defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bustamante.

and Wynsten decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bustamante's guard.

Bustamante has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wynsten is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bustamante.
Bustamante is looking to reverse the position.

Wynsten lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bustamante is trying to get back to half guard.

Wynsten is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bustamante is trying to escape and Wynsten transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bustamante is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wynsten! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yngwie Wynsten!
