Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Austurias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meldrick Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meldrick Taylor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meldrick Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Taylor.
Sloppy strikes from Austurias. Those never looked like landing.
Austurias walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Taylor fails to land with a series of punches.
Taylor scores with a decent looking hook.
Austurias takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Meldrick Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Taylor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Taylor is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Taylor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Taylor throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Austurias on the side of the head.

Taylor uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Taylor feints with a jab and clips Austurias right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Austurias is sent crashing into the canvas and Taylor leaps in for the kill! Austurias tries to get to his feet but Taylor is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Austurias is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Meldrick Taylor!
