Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Sasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Townsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Junior Sasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Townsley!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sasi avoids the head kick by Townsley.
Townsley looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Townsley moves into the clinch.

Sasi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Townsley after a bit of a struggle.
Sasi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Townsley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Townsley jumps into guard, dragging Sasi to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Townsley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sasi enables Townsley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sasi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sasi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sasi tries to get out of the position.

Sasi is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Townsley jumps guard but Sasi stands there with Townsley around his waist. Townsley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sasi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Townsley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sasi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Junior Sasi will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Townsley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sasi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd cheers as Townsley lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sasi doesn't seem phased though.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sasi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Townsley with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sasi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Townsley has hold of Sasi's hands but Sasi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sasi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Townsley's head.
Sasi winds up and cracks Townsley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Junior Sasi showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sasi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
