PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Duque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gladius Graecus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duque's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eminem- Lose Yourself. Gladius Graecus struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graecus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Duque throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Graecus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Duque stuns Graecus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Duque clinches up with Graecus and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Duque has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Graecus clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Duque lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Duque.

Duque has got one arm under Graecus's chin. This could be trouble... Graecus trying to control the other hand but Duque gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Graecus has tapped out! The fight is over!
