Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Baird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Farris!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baird moves out of range as Farris strikes.
Baird moves away from the strike by Farris.

Baird closes the distance and clinches.

Baird escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baird blocks a jab.
Baird fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Farris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baird displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Farris throws out the jab.
Farris tries to clinch but Baird moves out of range.
Farris dips to his left and cracks Baird with an uppercut!
Baird shoots in looking for a takedown. Farris tries to sprawl out of it but Baird keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Farris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Decent striking displayed by Farris there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Farris misses with a hook.
Farris scores with a jab to the head.
Baird shoots in for a takedown but Farris shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Baird. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baird slips under a jab from Farris.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Baird gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Farris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Baird slips a straight right by Farris.
Farris getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Baird closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Farris did well to prevent Baird getting side control.
Baird will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Farris wants to get back to his feet.
Baird works his way into side control.

Baird is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Farris is trying to escape and Baird transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Farris is forced to tap! Nice work there by Baird! Very nice indeed!
