Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bronek Simson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronek Simson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kei gets tackled into the cage by Simson. Simson maintains the clinch.
Kei misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kei misses with a hook from the clinch.
Simson blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Simson successfully pulls guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kei missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kei.

Simson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kei postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kei throws an elbow that misses. Simson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kei's guard. Nice move by Simson!

Kei is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Simson defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kei working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kei is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Simson has his hands clasped together but Kei extends an breaks Simson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kei.
