Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ojibwe Niggwerj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rose clinches up with Niggwerj and pushes him back against the cage.

Rose breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rose will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Niggwerj swats away the attempt to clinch by Rose.

Rose has Niggwerj up against the cage in a clinch.
Niggwerj tries to pull guard but Rose won't allow it.

Niggwerj pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Niggwerj throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rose doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Niggwerj counters with a shoot takedown. Rose fights it but they end up in guard.

Niggwerj drops back looking for a leg! Rose is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rose manages to kick Niggwerj off! Niggwerj jumps back into Rose's guard.
Rose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rose throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Niggwerj stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rose swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Niggwerj on the ground.

Rose is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rose makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rose.
Niggwerj trying to control the position from guard on top but Rose is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rose could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Niggwerj has an Americana. Rose didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Niggwerj is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Niggwerj hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
