PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Uhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colon comes to the cage accompanied by let the bodies hit the floor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Colon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johan Uhan!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Uhan with that takedown attempt.
Colon throws a hook to the side of Uhan's head but Uhan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Colon makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Colon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Colon lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Uhan tries to land a knee to the head but Colon blocks with his arms.
Colon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Uhan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Johan Uhan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uhan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Colon was well out of range. Poor timing from Uhan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Colon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Uhan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Uhan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Colon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Colon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Uhan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Colon yanks on the arm and Uhan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Colon.
