The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Todd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Patterson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Todd has Patterson in his guard.
Patterson passes into half guard.
Patterson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Todd is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
