Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manny Mayweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederick Barbarossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayweather kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Yep . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Manny Mayweather!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Frederick Barbarossa!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayweather closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barbarossa circles away.
Mayweather misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Barbarossa swinging wildly here.
Mayweather scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Barbarossa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manny Mayweather. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mayweather keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barbarossa.
Barbarossa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mayweather tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barbarossa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mayweather somewhat.

Barbarossa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mayweather. That did some damage!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbarossa misses with a straight left.
Barbarossa pivots, looking for a leg kick but Mayweather is out of range and Barbarossa settles back down.

Mayweather changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barbarossa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mayweather fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Barbarossa is holding Mayweather down, trying to stall.
Mayweather in side control, throwing shots but Barbarossa defends.
Mayweather creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Mayweather looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Barbarossa is avoiding damage well.

Barbarossa decides to stand back up. Barbarossa steps back and let's Mayweather get back to his feet.

Nice defenses there by Mayweather.
Barbarossa works the jab nicely.
Barbarossa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mayweather fails with a takedown attempt.
Barbarossa moves away from the strike by Mayweather.
Mayweather fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mayweather is defended easily by Barbarossa.
Barbarossa throws a series of punches but Mayweather avoids them all with ease.
Mayweather throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barbarossa's waist but Barbarossa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mayweather off to one side.
Barbarossa fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Mayweather to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Mayweather looks to clinch but Barbarossa throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Mayweather taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Frederick Barbarossa!
A very excited looking Frederick Barbarossa made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
