PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dc Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Dickinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickinson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by turisas- stand up and fight. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dc Gable!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Dickinson!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Gable finds it's way through Dickinson's defenses.
Gable keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Dickinson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gable throws a jab but it's blocked by Dickinson.
Gable blocks the body kick.
Gable misses the shot to the body.
Dickinson throws a leg kick
and Gable counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dickinson throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Gable counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dickinson throws a leg kick but Gable sees it coming and moves out of range.
Dickinson throws a leg kick but Gable checks it.
Dickinson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gable as he avoids it easily.
Dickinson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dickinson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gable tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dickinson was well out of range. Poor timing from Gable.

It looks like Will Dickinson has been cut.
Gable checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Gable comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A combination from Gable does no damage.
Gable leaves Dickinson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dc Gable has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Dickinson.
Gable connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dickinson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gable manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gable feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dickinson sprawling to the canvas! Dickinson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gable finish him?!

Dickinson is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gable finds Dickinson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Dickinson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Gable lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Dickinson will be OK.
