Shaffer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Shaffer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dallas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaffer stands up.
Shaffer is looking to clinch but Dallas is avoiding it.

Shaffer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dallas tries to improve position but can't.
The ground and pound from Shaffer seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Dallas is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dallas regains half guard, as Shaffer was trying to land strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shaffer is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dallas has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shaffer is looking to defend but Dallas has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shaffer! Dallas pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shaffer taps out and this one is all over!
