The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Herman gets the takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
You can see the frustration on Queixo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Herman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Queixo some visible discomfort.
Queixo is trying to get back to half guard.
Herman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Herman trying to control the position but Queixo is working away.
Queixo wants to get back to his feet.
Queixo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Herman on the ground.
Herman tries to move into full mount but can't pass Queixo's legs.

Herman wants to control but Queixo is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Herman has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Queixo!
Herman lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Queixo hang on?

Queixo is rocked!

Queixo is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Queixo tries to hold on but Herman pushes him away.

Herman looking for a guillotine from mount but Queixo is having none of it.
Herman lands a big shot there that rocks Queixo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Queixo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Herman! Queixo is hurt baaadly! Herman is firing away with more strikes - Queixo is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ernest Herman tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
