The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Diaz is out of range.

Duarte drops Diaz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Diaz looks back up at him and smiles so Duarte waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Diaz is rocked!

It looks like Nick Cristobal Diaz has been cut.
Gonzalo Duarte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duarte thuds a left hand into Diaz's body.
Duarte lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Diaz head around and knocks him out cold! Duarte hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

After winning the bout, Gonzalo Duarte thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
