Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dempsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haral Dir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Dempsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Haral Dir!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey tests Dir's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Haral Dir has been cut.
Dir looks to clinch
and Dir takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dempsey takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Dir darts in and clinches Dempsey up against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Dir.
Dempsey is trying to break the clinch but Dir is controlling him.
Dempsey has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dir changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dempsey fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dempsey pinned against the cage. Dempsey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dempsey stuffs the takedown.
Jack Dempsey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haral Dir.
Dir throws a head kick that misses.
Dir fails to land the takedown.
Dir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dempsey's waist but Dempsey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dir off to one side.

Dir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dempsey did well to prevent Dir getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dempsey is trying to get back to full guard.
Dempsey is looking to control Dir's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dempsey avoid being mounted?

Dir content to control rather than advance.
Dempsey is trying to control but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dempsey keeps the fight on the outside.
Dempsey lands with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dir doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dempsey counters with a nice body shot.
Dir tries to clinch but Dempsey is having none of it.
Haral Dir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dempsey wobbles Dir with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Dempsey dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Dir to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
