Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lindros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen La Roux - In For The Kill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mike Carter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter is looking to chop away at Lindros's legs.
Lindros lands a jab.
Carter throws the left hand but Lindros avoids the punch easily.
Carter gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lindros.
Carter on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lindros. Lindros obviously looking to wear him down.
Carter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carter avoids a kick to the body.
Lindros looks to score with a jab to the body but Carter is just out of range.
Lindros dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carter. That did some damage!
Lindros tries to bum rush Carter with a series of wild strikes but Carter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lindros lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lindros lands a big head kick that sends Carter tumbling to the mat! Lindros takes a step backwards and waves Carter back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Carter connects with a single shot there.
Carter is still on wobbly legs! Can Lindros finish him?
Lindros walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lindros scores with a punch to the head.
Carter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lindros circles away quickly and effectively.
Lindros slips under a jab.
Carter seems to have recovered his senses.
Carter pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carter finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Carter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lindros at a distance.

Lindros lands with an uppercut that bounces Carter off the cage and back into range.
Lindros doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lindros slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lindros thumps Carter with a low kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lindros. Carter shrugs it off though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Lindros fails in his attempt to clinch.
Carter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Carter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lindros throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lindros stuns Carter with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lindros scores with a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lindros tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it.
Lindros throws a front kick that sends Carter stumbling back into the cage.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lindros. That's going to slow Carter down.
Carter is looking to clinch.
Lindros ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A jab from Lindros finds it's way through Carter's defenses.
Lindros lands with a straight right. Carter didn't see that one coming.
Carter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Carter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lindros! Carter is out on his feet! Lindros rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Carter is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Carter is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Lindros!
A very excited looking Eric Lindros rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
