Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Sammakko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes to the cage accompanied by Robyn - Indestructible. Sammakko has chosen Saku Sammakko as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karim Chamakh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saku Sammakko!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammakko misses with a series of wild punches.
Sammakko misses the jab.
Sammakko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sammakko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chamakh avoids it really well and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chamakh has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chamakh there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sammakko tries a head kick but it misses.

Saku Sammakko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sammakko takes the fight into the clinch.
Sammakko swings wildly with an uppercut but Chamakh uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sammakko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Chamakh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sammakko to the mat. Sammakko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Chamakh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That was a close round but I would say that Karim Chamakh will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Saku Sammakko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sammakko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chamakh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sammakko, into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sammakko lets loose with a powerful body kick. Chamakh will feel that in the morning.

Sammakko looks to land a right hand but Chamakh moved out of range.
Chamakh's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sammakko connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Chamakh scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Saku Sammakko.
I think Sammakko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
