The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svevo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Golub circles away.
Svevo swats away the attempt to clinch by Golub.
Golub feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Golub working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Golub wants to control from the top but Svevo keeps moving.
Svevo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Golub is one step ahead there.
Svevo pushes a forearm under Golub's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Golub is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
