Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jane Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gotta Itch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jane Doe looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jane Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gotta Itch!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Itch is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Itch tries to clinch but Doe is having none of it.
Itch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Itch wants it to stay on the feet.
Doe shoots in looking for a takedown but Itch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Doe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Itch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Doe avoids it really well and circles away.
Doe circles away from the clinch attempt.
Itch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Itch throws a sloppy head kick and Doe moves out of range easily.
Itch shoots in looking for a takedown but Doe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Itch's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jane Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gotta Itch.
Doe lands a head kick. Itch smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Itch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Doe.
Itch throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Itch closes the distance looking to clinch
and Doe counters with a slapping leg kick.

Itch takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Itch ducks under a wild hook from Doe.
Itch scores with a jab. Doe acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Itch shoots in for a takedown but Doe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Doe gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Itch is looking for a takedown.

Doe has Itch pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Doe pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Itch tumbling to the mat - Doe dives into Itch's guard.
Doe is breathing heavily.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Itch pulls Doe in close to prevent any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Itch can do anything to dispel that myth.

Doe trying to control but Itch is working from the bottom.
Itch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Itch looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Doe puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doe is trying to control. Itch wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Itch is positioning himself well to prevent Doe advancing to mount.
Itch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doe is working away from the top position though.

Doe stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Itch to get to his feet.

Doe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Doe is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Doe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Doe throwing shots but Itch is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doe prevents Itch from improving his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Itch is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doe tries to clinch there but Itch circles away.
Itch closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doe circles away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Doe checks a leg kick.
Jane Doe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Itch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Doe controls Itch momentarily but Itch frees himself.
Itch trying to control but Doe is working from the bottom.

Doe kicks Itch off and gets to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Doe stuffs the takedown attempt from Itch. Itch gets slowly back to his feet.

Doe clinches with his opponent.
Itch stalls.
A short left from Doe.

Doe jumps guard and drags Itch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Doe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Itch trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Itch trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Doe pulls Itch in close to prevent any damage.
Doe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Itch controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gotta Itch was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Doe fails with the takedown.
Itch closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doe circles away.
Jane Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gotta Itch.

Itch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Itch somewhat.

Doe clinches up with Itch and pushes him back against the cage.
Itch tries to throw a body punch but Doe avoids it by throwing Itch back against the cage.
Itch stalling in the clinch but Doe improves position.
Itch blocks a body shot from Doe.

Doe manages to break the clinch.
Itch swats away the attempt to clinch by Doe.
Itch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doe swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doe shoots in but no luck this time.
Horrible takedown by Itch or perhaps it was just good defense by Doe which made him look bad.
Doe tries to clinch up but Itch circles away and keeps his distance.

Itch closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Doe did well to prevent Itch getting side control.
Doe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Itch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Itch's back!

Doe is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Itch is defending well though. Doe let's go of the attempt for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jane Doe will probably get the nod.

Doe takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Itch dives in and grabs Doe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doe pushes down on Itch's head and hops out.

Itch is trying to push Doe away but Doe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Doe gets control of Itch's arms and successfully pulls guard. Doe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Itch wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving.
Doe tries to strike from the bottom.
Itch looking to sit in guard and control but Doe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Doe passes Itch's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Itch wants to control but Doe is keeping busy.
Jane Doe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Itch tries to get to full guard but Doe has control of the leg.

Doe decides to stand up.
Doe tries for a takedown but Itch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Doe fails with a takedown attempt.
Itch fails to land the takedown.
A combination from Doe does no damage.
Doe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Itch.
Itch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doe blocks a head kick by Itch.
Doe shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Itch misses with a head kick.

A telegraphed right hand from Itch misses the target.
Itch lands a jab-cross combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Doe.
Doe shoots in for a takedown but Itch shows good takedown defense.
Itch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Itch throws a body punch but Doe moves out of range.
Doe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Itch is fending him off so far but Doe persists. Nope, Itch circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Doe throws out a leg kick but Itch moves out of range and Doe only half commits.
Gotta Itch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jane Doe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Doe shoots for a takedown but Itch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Well Doe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
