Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Gunner Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn McShane!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reed clinches with his opponent.
McShane tries a body shot but Reed blocks it.
The referee is keeping an eye on McShane - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Reed scores with an uppercut up the middle.
McShane goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Reed breaks the clinch.
Gunner Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed fails with an attempt to clinch.
McShane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reed circles away quickly and effectively.
Reed blocks a jab.

Reed clinches.

Reed breaks from the clinch.

Reed has closed the distance and engaged McShane in a clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Reed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reed lands a jab to the nose.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McShane throws a series of punches but Reed avoids them all with ease.
Reed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McShane manages to avoid it.
McShane moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Reed gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McShane is looking to break free of the clinch but Reed has double underhooks.
McShane is trying to stall.
McShane fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reed prevents McShane from breaking the clinch.
Reed works on McShane's body with a couple of short punches.

Reed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McShane keeps the fight on the outside.
Reed moves in looking to clinch but McShane pushes him off.
Reed with a hook.
Reed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big left from McShane misses.
McShane throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McShane shoots in for a double leg but Reed sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reed tries to clinch there but McShane circles away.
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up but McShane swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and McShane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McShane.

Reed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McShane misses with a straight right.
Gunner Reed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McShane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reed tries to clinch there but McShane circles away.

Reed closes the distance and clinches.
McShane misses with the head strike.
McShane tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Reed blocks a body shot from McShane.
McShane controlling the action here for a moment.
McShane's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Reed stalling the fight.
Reed lands with a short shot to the head.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
McShane tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Reed lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Reed as McShane tries to tie him up.
McShane is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Reed has denied him.
Reed lands a right hand that snaps the head of McShane backwards.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Reed creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends McShane's eyes rolling into the back of his head! McShane drops to his knees and Reed pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunner Reed!
Gunner Reed spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
