The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keenen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Keenen or perhaps it was just good defense by Shoulder which made him look bad.
Shoulder blocks a head kick by Keenen .
Shoulder darts in and clinches Keenen up against the cage.

Keenen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shoulder is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Keenen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shoulder's back instead.

Keenen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Shoulder has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Keenen motions for Shoulder to come forward. Keenen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Shoulder has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shoulder there as he acknowledges the shot.
Keenen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shoulder's guard.
