The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Gauge dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corleone. That did some damage!
Gauge takes a swing at Corleone's ribcage but misses.
That kick from Corleone tenderised Gauge's leg. Gauge is trying to keep his angry face on.

Gauge looks for the body kick but Corleone saw that one coming.

Sonny Corleone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maybe Gauge would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gauge has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Corleone finds it's way round the side to connect with Gauge's head.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Corleone in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Gauge drops Corleone with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Corleone looks back up at him and smiles so Gauge waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
