The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harp fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Carson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carson sizes up Harp with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Harp dives in and grabs Carson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carson pushes down on Harp's head and hops out.
Carson tries a low kick but Harp avoids it.
Harp's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Harp scrambles back to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Harp has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Harp and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Carson lands a nice hook to Harp's body. Harp takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Harp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carson tries to avoid it but Harp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carson to the ground. Carson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Harp fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carson is out of range.

Harp feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carson wants to get up but he can't break Harp's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Harp is pulling down on Carson's head. It's preventing any offense from Carson, at least for the moment.

Leslie Harp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Dylan Carson will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dylan Carson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
