Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Liddel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Liddel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Liddel is working away from the top position though.
Stone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stone.
Stone wants to sweep here but Liddel controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stone is on top in guard.
Liddel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Liddel can't keep his opponent in guard - Stone advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Stone trying to control the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Liddel pushes Stone off looking to stand but Stone dives back in and keeps control.
Liddel won't allow Stone to pass to mount.
Liddel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stone.
Stone looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Stone is trying to control the action in half guard but Liddel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Liddel is trying to stand back up but Stone is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Stone prevents Liddel from improving his position.
Stone throwing shots but Liddel is blocking nicely.
Stone not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Stone sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Liddel defending well though.
Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stone thows a huge punch but Liddel dodges it nicely.
Stone has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Liddel is in all sorts of trouble here.
Stone throwing strikes here but Liddel is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Stone there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Stone throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Liddel is in a horrible position here. Stone smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Stone throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Liddel holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Stone tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Stone misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Stone prevents Liddel from getting the reversal.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone unloads with some shots from mount but Liddel bucks and avoids them well.
Stone cracks Liddel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Liddel blocking the ground and pound.
Poor strikes thrown by Stone there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Stone throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Liddel regains half guard.
Liddel moves into full guard.
Stone throwing strikes from guard but Liddel blocks nicely.
Liddel keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.
Stone with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stone passes into half guard.
Stone is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
BOOM! Stone connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Stone scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Liddel?
Liddel looks winded!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stone throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Liddel blocking the ground and pound.
Stone throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Liddel because Stone loaded up on that one.
Stone trying to control but Liddel is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Stone dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Stone throws a jab but it's blocked by Liddel.
Crunch! Stone slams his shin into Liddel's torso.
Stone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stone works Liddel's body with a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stalling in the clinch from Stone.
Stone lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Liddel is trying to break free.
Liddel letting Stone take a breather here.
Stone scores with a nice hook to the head.
Liddel is breathing heavily.
Come on Stone - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Liddel can do to turn this around?
Stone softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Liddel stalling the fight.
Liddel trying to stall but Stone improves his position.
Liddel looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Liddel looking to stall.
Stone gets through Liddel's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Liddel is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Stone feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Liddel's calf.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice leg kick lands there from Stone.
Stone cracks Liddel with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Liddel falls to his knees and Stone doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aaron Stone!
Aaron Stone bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
