PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Senju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thorn comes into the arena with Linkin park - Not alone blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Bob Thorn has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Senju takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Thorn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Senju back to the cage. Thorn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Andre Senju has been cut.
Senju showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thorn.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Senju has eaten all the pies!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Senju is nestled in close to Thorn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Senju connects with a nice short shot to Thorn's temple.

Senju is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thorn is just riding it out for now. Senju eventually gives up the hold.

Senju on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Thorn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Senju moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Senju is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Thorn connects with a body shot that sends Senju's belly button to the back.
Senju is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thorn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bob Thorn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Senju.
An inside leg kick lands from Thorn.
Thorn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Senju has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Senju.
Senju postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Thorn is looking to take a break and control but Senju is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Thorn wants to stand but Senju is controlling his posture from full guard.
Thorn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Senju doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Senju shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thorn but Thorn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Thorn lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Senju changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thorn tries to avoid it but Senju manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thorn to the ground. Thorn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The cut above Andre Senju's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Thorn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Senju's hands.

Andre Senju's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andre Senju's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Bob Thorn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
