Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Donnie Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turner moves into the clinch.
Turner lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turner walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Turner defends it nicely.
Vernon Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Jackson.
Turner connects with a crisp jab.

Turner dives in and scores a takedown into Jackson's guard.

Jackson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Turner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Turner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Turner!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson parries the strikes from Turner easily there. Turner is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jackson to escape.
